Know what you need to DU.
We recommend packing the following items the night before the race:
- Race numbers (provided at packet pickup or at on-site check in — required)
- Water bottle(s)
- Bike (all bikes are welcome: not limited to elite triathlon bikes)
- Bike and/or running shoes
- Race shirt/sports bra
- Bike helmet (required)
- Directions to the park
- iPod or other music (no earbuds permitted on bike course)
- Tire pump/repair kit
- Money/credit card
You may arrive at the park as early as 6:30 a.m. on race day. Allow yourself plenty of time to set up your transition area, get your bib and use the restroom. If you’re coming from out of town, give yourself extra drive time, even if that means a 3 a.m. wake-up. Or better yet, book a room locally, and get a good night’s sleep! Racers only will be allowed in the transition area at all times. The transition area will close at 8:45 a.m., after which no non-race entries or exits will be permitted.
Free parking is available in the overflow lot to duathlon registrants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and spectators at Lake Lansing Park South. You need not pay to enter the park. There will be ample parking for race participants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and spectators.
In an effort to ensure participant safety, vehicular traffic at the park entrance will be minimized while racers are entering and exiting the bike course. If you plan to leave the park before 11:00 a.m., please expect delays. We appreciate your patience.
